Offline-first POS that keeps the store selling.
A complete point-of-sale and inventory suite for retail — built to work with zero internet, run by non-technical staff, installed in one click.
The challenge
A retail business was running sales on paper and stock in memory. Internet at the shop was unreliable, staff weren't technical, and every "cloud POS" they tried either stopped working offline or demanded a monthly fee for features they didn't need. They needed billing that never blocks a customer, stock that matches reality, and reports the owner can actually read.
What we built
We designed and built a complete point-of-sale and inventory suite that runs entirely on the shop's own computer:
- Fast billing — barcode scanning, keyboard-first entry (no mouse needed mid-sale), returns and discounts.
- Inventory that stays true — purchases, stock adjustments, low-stock alerts and supplier tracking.
- Daily clarity — sales, profit and expense reports the owner checks every evening.
- Roles & accountability — cashier, manager and owner accounts with the right permissions.
- One-click install — packaged as a desktop application; no server setup, no command line, no IT person.
How we did it
The system is built on Laravel and Livewire with a local database, wrapped in a desktop package that boots its own environment. Every screen was designed keyboard-first — Enter advances fields, shortcuts cover common actions — because at a busy counter, reaching for the mouse costs sales. Backups run automatically and restore in minutes.
"Sales day runs itself now. The staff learned it in an afternoon." — Store owner
The result
The store bills faster, closes the day with accurate numbers, and no longer worries about connectivity. The same suite is now being prepared for other stores — proof that software built around a real counter beats software built around a demo.
